Bought some more parts for the old girl today. Planning now for a respray!
Really enjoying being able to drive it around now, got a buzz today when I parked next to a 3rd Gen Camaro at the shopping center today _________________ I get up in the morning & piss excellence. |

Ok so I have been finding some gremlins in the car since I got it rego'd. It has had a bit of hesitation on take off & coolant leaking around the manifold. So I pulled out the tools today & surprise surprise, half of the bolts on the passenger side of the manifold were loose. Tightened them up & went for a test run. Finally there is no hesitation on take off! Bonus! Hopefully there will be no more coolant leaks either. _________________ I get up in the morning & piss excellence. |

I love when a potential crisis situation turns into a real simple fix!!! _________________ The depressing thing about tennis, is that no matter how much I play, I'll never be as good as a wall. |

Went & got the timing checked & reset on Monday. The mechanic that did the engine swap said he tried to set the timing but had to bridge the aldl. When I went to a different mechanic on Monday he checked it & asked did the car feel gutless. Yep, sure did. Discovered that the timing had been set on zero. Ten minutes & $20 later it was reset & running like a different car. I can't believe what a difference a bit of timing has made to the power. It is going back in a couple of weeks for a tune. Much more fun to drive now! _________________ I get up in the morning & piss excellence. |
